Metro News 3/20/2020

The governor of California has mandated a "Stay at Home" policy until further notice.  Therefore, there will NOT be public worship at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Altadena on Sunday, March 22, 2020 or the following Sunday.  I encourage you to practice social distancing, and stay at home unless it is absolutely necessary for you to leave, especially if your health is already compromised.  We will stream live on FaceBook Live on Sunday at 10 am, and for the following Sunday.  Only the choir and Media Team will be allowed in the worship facility.  Please send your tithe/contribution to the church by mail.  The address is 2283 North Fair Oaks Ave., Altadena, CA  91001.  You may also log onto the church's website which is mbcaltadena.org and use Pay Pal.  All week day activities are also cancelled until further notice.

If you need assistance from the church for any reason, please call our Office Manager during hours of operation.  She will convey the message to me and/or the chairman of Deacons.  Please do not come to the church office during the week unless you have something to pick or drop off.  You will not be allowed to enter the building.  We are taking every necessary precaution in the wake of Covid  19/Coronavirus.

With that being said, we still trust God to cover and protect us from this pandemic.  Read Psalm 91.  Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled as quoted in Mark 9.  But we are covered by the blood of Jesus  We should be careful and cautious, but we should not fear or panic.  Isaiah 43 said, "But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine." Your's because of Christ, Pastor Tyrone Skinner
