Leadership Council Meeting: There will be a Leadership Council Meeting on Monday (tomorrow), October 7, 2019 in Malone Hall at 7:00 pm. Pastor Skinner asked that all leaders please be prayerful and in attendance.

Its Time, Its Time, Its Time: Women Day Worship Rehearsal is Thursday October 10, Tuesday, October 15 and Thursday October 17, at 7:30pm. Ladies let’s get ready. If you are singing and have not received your Music package, see Sis. Coates after church. I'm excited, what about you?

First Ladies Health Day will be on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Please invite your family, neighbors and friends. You just might save a life! Free screenings, resources and information will be provided on Health Day. Dr. Astrid Williams, Senior Health Programs Specialist at City of Hope, will focus on health and wellness initiative to reduce cancer risk. Dr. Williams’ presentation will be in Malone Hall at 12:30 p.m. Let’s come to worship and remain for the Health Day. Thanks for your support and participation.         Lady Trudell and the First Ladies Health Day Team ALL OCTOBER BIRTHDAY UNIT MEMBERS! All persons born in October are asked to meet with me and Deaconess Ridgeway, on Sunday, October 13th immediately after morning worship. The place, “The COVE”, over by the piano. This your month, and since we are connecting with “Women’s Day Program”, we would like to have our presence felt as a part of every function, and because you are a woman that is represented, because of your Birthday. Hope Made Real/Women's Day Weekend! Plan to join us Saturday, October 19th, and Sunday, October 20th--as we learn three important lessons from the Book of Ruth. Hope Made Real, will be held this year at Almansor Court in Alhambra. This event will take place from 11:00 a.m., until 3:30 p.m. Lunch menu consist of Tuscan Chicken and Prawns or Top Sirloin and Salmon for $50.00. You may begin to make payments until October 13th, utilizing our church envelopes. Transportation will be provided. The speaker will be Pastor Camille Wooden.  Women's Day will begin at 8:30 a.m. during our Sunday School hour. The dynamic Minister Donna Ringgold, of Bethel Baptist Church, San Diego will be the morning worship speaker. Suggested color is pink.

Special Called Church Meeting – 2020 Operating Budget: Greetings Metropolitan. On Monday, October 21, 2019 at 7:00 pm, the Board of Trustees and the Church Treasurer will present the proposed Operating Budget for the 2020 Fiscal Year. Attention All Students - All Ages!!! GET THE HELP YOU NEED! Tutoring is each Monday (except Holidays, spring and summer breaks) from 6:00 –7:00 pm in Malone Hall.

PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDY: Please join us for Prayer and Bible Study each Wednesday at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Joseph Walker is leading the discussions on "Bible Distinctives". Then we have Wednesday Night Wise at 7:30 pm, Deacon Johnie Driver is leading a class titled "Doctrinal Differences (CULTS)”.
