County voters will have the opportunity to vote at any of the 1,000 voter centers across the county -- over 11 days -- on a brand-new, fully accessible and secure system. To ensure a smooth process, the County is hosting a Mock Election on Saturday Sept. 28th & Sunday Sept 29th, where voters can test out the new system, provide feedback, and at select locations, enjoy live DJs, surprise celebrities, food trucks and chances to win L.A. experiences! First Ladies Health Day will be on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Please invite your family, neighbors and friends. You just might save a life! Free screenings, resources and information will be provided on Health Day. Dr. Astrid Williams, Senior Health Programs Specialist at City of Hope, will focus on health and wellness initiative to reduce cancer risk. Dr. Williams’ presentation will be in Malone Hall at 12:30 p.m. Let’s come to worship and remain for the Health Day. Thanks for your support and participation.

Hope Made Real/Women's Day Weekend! Plan to join us Saturday, October 19th, and Sunday, October 20th--as we learn three important lessons from the Book of Ruth. Hope Made Real, will be held this year at Almansor Court in Alhambra. This event will take place from 11:00 a.m., until 3:30 p.m. Lunch menu consist of Tuscan Chicken and Prawns or Top Sirloin and Salmon for $50.00. You may begin to make payments until October 13th, utilizing our church envelopes. Transportation will be provided.The speaker will be Pastor Camille Wooden. Women's Day will begin at 8:30 a.m. during our Sunday School hour. The dynamic Minister Donna Ringgold, of Bethel Baptist Church, San Diego will be the morning worship speaker. Suggested color is pink.
Special Called Church Meeting – 2020 Operating Budget: Greetings Metropolitan. On Monday, October 21, 2019 at 7:00 pm, the Board of Trustees and the Church Treasurer will present the proposed Operating Budget for the 2020 Fiscal Year. All members are encouraged to come and prayerfully participate in the finalization of the budget.

Tutorial Ministry
Prayer and Bible Study: Please join us for Prayer and Bible Study each Wednesday at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Joseph Walker is leading the discussions on "Bible Distinctives". Then we have Wednesday Night Wise at 7:30 pm, Deacon Johnie Driver is leading a class titled "Doctrinal Differences (CULTS)”. The Youth and Young Adult Bible Study is on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm, upstairs.
