Get Ready, Get Ready, Get Ready! The Metro 113th Church Anniversary Celebration will be on Sunday, June 23, 2019. Our theme is “Making and Continuing the Legacy” Psalm 78:3-4. Speakers for the day include Rev. Nathaniel Haley, Pastor of United Christian Missionary Baptist Church of Los Angeles for 10 a.m., and Dr. Tim Gramling, Pastor of Olivet Baptist Church of Ventura for the 3:30 p.m. services. The Metro Mass Choir will minister in music, and are asking current and past members of Metro choirs to participate as a mini reunion. Rehearsals will be Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday. June 20--both at 7:30 p.m. Anniversary colors are: white and black with a splash of yellow. The committee is also preparing to serve a delicious lunch after the morning worship. Hope to see everyone there!

Food for Metropolitan Youth Have you been wondering how you could get involved? Your services are needed on Wednesday nights to prepare and serve food to our youth during the year. Signing up will also provide an opportunity for you to get to know and build relationships with our young people. Dinner is served at 6:30 pm each Wednesday. Please give your name to Deaconess Franklin, Skinner, or Gilliam and all details will be provided. Thank you for responding to this opportunity to serve.

VBS 2019: We are in the planning stages for VBS 2019 to be held July 8th - 12th, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This year the theme is “ROAR.” The children will get ready for an African adventure that engages the whole HERD. At ROAR, kids explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life. We are looking for volunteers to assist in the following areas: 1) Decorating, 2) Crew leaders (work directly with children), 3) Set up & clean up, and 4) Donations. Registration can be completed on the Metropolitan website, also in the front foyer. Invite your family and friends, classes are available for adults and children. "INVITE YOUR FAMILY & FRIENDS" It's almost time for our Annual Church Gathering at the Park. Plans are being made to make sure the day is one to remember. We're looking forward to having a grand day of fun, games, entertainment and lots of good food! THE DATE IS AUGUST 10TH, FROM 9:00am - 5:00pm, AT LOMA ALTA PARK. COME TO SUNDAY SCHOOL Your family and friends are invited to attend Sunday School at 8:30 a.m. We have classes for all ages. The children will be served a light snack each Sunday before starting their class.

Prayer and Bible Study:
Please join us each Wednesday at 12:00 Noon and again at 7:30 pm for Prayer and Bible Study. The Youth and Young Adult Bible Study is on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.
