Join us for Sunday School on Sunday, February 3, 2019. We will be begin celebrating "Black History" month. Sis. Sadiqa Harris will be leading the Sunday School discussion titled "Eyes on the Prize". There is a documentary available online by the same name that details the Civil Rights Movement. The lesson text is from Philippians 3:7-14. By participating in this discussion, you will learn the following: 1. To reinforce Paul's perspective of joy even in the midst of many trials, 2. To help you recognize what you can truly count as gain in your own lives, 3. For you to be able to forget what is behind and continue to grow closer towards Jesus, 4. Value your relationship with Christ above all other facets of your identity. Breakfast will be served at 8:15AM.
2019 Evangelism Team – Evangelism is welcoming new visitors to our church, but it is also helping prepare all those who attend to make a commitment, or renew their commitment to Jesus Christ--to become disciples for Christ. This means helping them to become Christians, to grow as Christians, and to serve as Christian disciples for Jesus. With a gentle thought in mind, “We are here to be a light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill”. Please join the Evangelism Team. For sign-up and questions, contact Sis. Susie Collins, Chair
