OVERCOMERS MINISTRY NEEDS YOUR HELP: Our ministry is planning on passing out "Blessing Bags" to homeless women and men sometime in the near future. We are asking our church family to assist in donating with old purses, gift bags, toiletries, snacks (foods that are easy to chew), bottles of water, socks, scarves, beanies, old Bibles etc. We will have a box in the vestibule to place items in. Any questions you can see: Sis.Mico Borders, Roxie Gilliam, or Debbie Ayers. Thank you in advance for your support.
Food for Metropolitan Youth Have you been wondering how you could get involved? Your services are needed on Wednesday nights to prepare and serve food to our youth during the months of December and January. Signing up will also provide an opportunity for you to get to know and build relationships with our young people. Dinner is served at 6:30 pm each Wednesday. Please give your name to Deaconess Franklin, Skinner, or Gilliam and all details will be provided. Thank you for responding to this opportunity to serve.

Metro Church Family: On behalf of those who participated in The WBSC-Congress of Christian Education, held December 26-29, in Palm Desert, we wish to formally acknowledge your prayers, financial support and acts of love. Approximately 40 people from Metro went including: kids, teens, young adults, chaperones/youth leaders, teachers and our faithful bus driver. Our congregation was well represented, members and friends demonstrated Christ-like conduct and actively engaged in learning more about Jesus. Some of the youth who went with us came as a result of Metro’s Evangelism efforts. No doubt God is pleased. In addition, aside from making sure things ran properly, during the congress, our Pastor who is Congress President was a keynote speaker. Furthermore, Sister Skinner assisted with various needs and provided needed wise counsel. Lastly, we greatly appreciate the parents who drove to Palm Desert so we’d have sufficient transportation. Metro we LOVE YOU!
