Harvest Fest Celebration Support: As we prepare to light up the world, our community--on the darkest day of the year, that being Halloween--we need your support. We need lots and lots of candy. We are expecting 200 children!! Please help us by donating candy (Chocolate Candy) and toys/trinkets for prizes. You may give your candy and toys/trinkets to Miss Jennie, or leave them in the Sunday School Office. The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. We need your help in the vineyard, which is our South Lot.

“Church-Wide Van-Pool” Starting immediately, Metropolitan will provide transportation to Sunday-Church School and Morning Worship Service to ALL IN NEED OF A RIDE! Please schedule your transportation request by calling 626-798-8611. A seat will be reserved for you and if you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, you must cancel by 3 pm on Friday. Our revitalized “Church Wide Carpool” must have a total of at least ten (10) requesting riders scheduled for each Sunday. Members, this means we are active in inviting friends, relatives, neighbors, and others to join us in studying God’s Word!

The First Ladies Health Initiative is partnering with Worship in Pink and other sponsors in promoting, Go Pink. We are asking all women to wear pink to church on Sunday, October 28, 2018. WORSHIP IN PINK is a grassroots effort to partner the Affiliate with places of worship, providing resources to educate the members of their congregations on breast health and breast cancer. We are partnering with the October Birthday Unit In the Malone Hall right after service, we will provide pink balloons to be released with special cards to write the name of your love ones that have transitioned. There will also be available Breast Cancer Awareness pamphlets (City of Hope), Mammograms flyers,(Susan G. Komen) and "special pink treats", Sister Diane Walker and Sister Angela Shaw. We hope you participate. Please spread the word and bring a friend.
