Thank you all for your awesome participation and support of the 7th Annual First Ladies Health Day. Your support and cooperation is greatly appreciation. Thanks to those who answered the call to serve: Metro Ministry team, set up crew, lunch crew, social media crew, media crew, and event staff. Thanks to Ambassadors Karen Franklin and Diane Walker for your attendance at planning and training meetings, and participation in the Monday evening conference calls. Thanks to Marco Williams for soliciting additional providers and resources from the City of Hope. Thanks to Pastor Skinner for the opportunity to serve and his attendance at the First Ladies Health Initiative events leading up to the special day. IT'S CHURCH PICNIC TIME!!! You’re invited, but your admittance is to bring a dish or two and an unchurched friend or family member, to attend the Church Picnic on June 30th from 9am to 5pm at Loma Alta Park in Altadena at the Bronco Picnic Area by the horse stables. We're going to have a DJ, Games, Prizes, Sports for the Youth, Dance Contest, and more fun events for everyone. Please see the list below, to find out what dish or dishes you need to bring according to the first letter in your last name. Please make sure to bring enough food to feed 10-12 people. Family: We are in the planning stages for VBS 2018!! This year the theme is Shipwrecked Rescued by Jesus. The children will find that Jesus rescues them when life gets stormy. When they are lonely... Jesus rescue! When they worry... Jesus rescues! When they struggle... Jesus rescues! When they do wrong... Jesus rescues! When they are powerless... Jesus rescues! JESUS RESCUES - thank you Father. In order to help make VBS 2018 live beyond July 9th-13th we need your help and support. This year we will transform the church into an island. We need the following items to help turn the church into Metropolitan Tropical Island. Items Needed:

Large Sea Shells Fishing Poles

Bamboo Fishing Nets

Water Raft Boat Plastic Foliage

Donut Floats Tikki Torches (4)

Coconuts (12)

During VBS all participants (adults and children) will be able to shop at the VBS Store ¨The Treasure Box¨. We are in need of items to stock the Treasure Box. When you are out shopping please remember the VBS store The Treasure Box.

Sunday School Ministry

Attention All Students - All Ages!!! GET THE HELP YOU NEED! Tutoring is each Monday (except Holidays) from 6:00 – 7:00 pm in Malone Hall.

Prayer and Bible Study: Please join us for Prayer and Bible Study each Wednesday at 12:00 Noon, and again at 7: 30 pm. The Youth and Young Adult Bible Study is on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, upstairs.
