Metropolitan Members! Today is the Kick-Off to Evangelism with our “Birthday Units” leading the charge, but we are 2-Units short! Please consider the importance of this effort and give us the support that is needed as we proceed. The chairpersons we need are for May and November. If you have a desire to HELP, please give me call at 626-437-9198. I promise, you will not be in this all by yourself; all Units will assist if the need occurs. A real family helps each other, and that’s the message we want you to get as you ponder this message. If you were born in one of these months, this is your chance to lend a hand! Thanks!

Bro. Phil Madden, B.U. Chairman

We will invite you to scheduled online meetings and discussions that you can attend from the comfort of your home!

The Metropolitan Birthday Units will begin monthly participation in our services as of the 4th. Sunday, Jan. 28. Every church member is a part of their respective Birthday Unit. The year's theme is "EACH ONE REACH ONE". In keeping with the theme, we are asking that we all reach out and invite/bring someone to our service on the 4th Sunday. Let us begin the year praising and thanking God for the many blessings that He will bestow in 2018.

Join Us For Sunday School: Your family and friends are invited to join us for Sunday School on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 8:30AM in Malone Hall. We have classes for all age groups. Deacon Dean Cooper will be leading the adult class discussion titled “Actions Speak Louder than Words”. If a person constantly talks about the plight of the poor (words) but never thinks of donating to a charity or in any way mitigating that plight (action), their words have a hollowness or empty quality. The lesson text is from James 2:14-26. By participating in this discussion, you will learn the following:

1. Comprehend the relationships between faith and works.

  1. Serve God with actions that match faith expressions

  2. Understand the Mathematical equation Faith –Works = dead faith

  3. Faith without deeds is a useless faith.

  4. Practice what you preach

A full breakfast will be served at 8:30AM.

Attention All Students! All Ages! Tutoring is Every Monday (except Holidays) from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Malone Hall.
